Grant Chustz, LMSW

Psychotherapist

Grant received his M.A. from the University of Chicago with a concentration in clinical psychotherapy and trauma. Through his coursework and field experience he was provided with a strong foundation in trauma informed care, as well as Cognitive and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy. Grant studied Economics with a double minor in Psychology and Religious Studies in his undergraduate course work at the University of Miami.

Prior to joining the Healthy Foundations Group, Grant gained valuable field experience as a primary clinician in the inpatient psychiatry unit at Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago. At this hospital, as a member of an interdisciplinary treatment team, Grant gained experience in conducting biopsychosocial assessments, diagnosis of psychiatric disorders, treatment planning, and individual, group, and family therapy. Grant also received certificate training and participated in pro-bono psychological evaluations for immigrants seeking asylum due to trauma and violence in their countries of origin.

Grant has worked with a diverse population of children, adolescents, and their families who present with social, emotional, and behavioral problems that affect their functioning. Grant values the therapeutic relationship and the support and trust that builds meaningful rapport. Grant emphasizes a client-centered approach and uses evidence-based practices, such as cognitive and dialectical behavioral therapies, in his clinical approach.

In his free time, Grant loves watching and playing sports, as well as finding new documentaries, museums, and restaurants to try.
